and dang philly, you start to get really ghetto 2 blocks past my apartment. and the summers are so humid and rainy, mosquitoes are feasting on my legs, and streets stink of sewage in certain areas.

but albeit these dramatic differences from westwood, i do feel myself becoming more at home here. parts of center city (downtown area) are magnificent and the campus is beautiful. i love my apartment and its location, though i really do miss my family and friends back in la. can’t believe i’m officially starting grad school next week! hope i finish in less than 5 years, that would preeettyy awesome.

east coast bucket list:

1. cherry blossom festival at DC

2. lobster season in maine

3. bird watching in cape cod

4. times square for new years

5. broadway musical

6. nfl game (ugh, i don’t want to root for the eagles and vick, but we’ll see…)

7. new england beaches and seafood

8. niagra falls/quebec trip

you are awesome. because of you, i haven’t been severely ill, if at all, for a quite a few years now. you conquer everything i throw at you. in honor of what you’ve done for me, i will stop biting my nails and carry hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE i go. and it’s not just because of the MRSA scare from this past weekend. keep doing what you do!

put much thought into making them (somewhat) creative and didn’t want to forget about them in the future! lol

- Rachmaninoff (i’d just call him Rocky) or Amadeus (not sure what the nickname could be…)

- Tesla (and with a 2nd dog, i’d name him Volta or Ohms heh)

- Ajax (and 2nd dog named Odysseus, nicknamed Odie :P)

- Nayru (always thought this would make a good name for a husky w/ blue eyes)

- Duke or Colonel (so cheesy, i know)

- Pippin (and 2nd dog obviously named Merry)

- Rohan (… now i want to rewatch all three lotr, for the 57th time it feels like. never gets old!)

- Iroh or Zuko

- Bruce (and Alfred)
